Be Brave to admit when you are wrong..!!

I found this interesting and thought to have opinions from readers...
i personally think one shud go ahead and admit owns mistakes and also shud have the courage to withstand the repurcusions..i knw its easier said than done..but again..its a choice which is far better than being discovered by someone else, talking experience i have witnessed incidents where himalayan blunders are forgiven just for the reason that the culprit did admit his mistake, and was well appreciated for the heads up..
Again experiences do vary and have also heard tales of ppl being honest and inviting truouble..its like judge ur circumstances and act accordingly...

First Snowfall....

We witnessed the first snow today, it was early morning when my roomie woke me up
he was so happy to see the snow, i could hear him shouting snow !! snow !!
i woke up and reached window to see the snow clad car roofs.. it wasnt dense but good enuff to show whitish layer on the green lush grass liking an icing on cake..

Winds were freezing, mercury dropped to -5 centigrade, venturing out wasnt a good option that too without good warm clothing.. we had to goto La Guardia Airport,NY to receive my roomies bro, got dressed up early..took us 2hrs to reach there..
the climate was not friendly..cold breeze..sky covered with clouds..dampness in air.
Managed to get a cup of Masala Tea, which i always grab it with a welcome sign..
i loved each sip of Tea..it just occured to me..it wud have been awesome if i cud have got hot dalwadaes..my favourites..i never missed it when i was in india..Mouthwatering..yes..i made sure when we had the first rain, rush to the nearest food court and grab a dish..

My hearties wishes on Happy thanks giving..!!!

A short visit to NewYork

Was in NYC last week, took few snaps, essentially i was there with a reason to visit NYSE, i was told that we get passes to visit the exchange and see the manual trading that happens to be the attraction, unfortunately it wasnt open to visitors.. but then i took this oppurtunity as a blessing to take snaps..

Remembering 9/11

Twin tower memorial .. captured on 9/11 last month..
parallel lights illuminated the sky..regrets tht the pics got blurred..
Snaps of wreckage - WTC, with a single pillar kept as a memorial for all those who lost their lives in the disaster..
These snaps were taken from PATH station (WTC-Path station), due to the fences around the wreckages i couldnt find a spot to take snaps.....
Cross seen on this snap is a memorial of 9/11, a single pillar which stands as memorial of the twin tower..
crowd gathered around PATH station, which is adjacent to 9/11, we can see the wreckages, often crowded with visitors any time during the week..

How corrupt are we ?

Nation is about people and so i guess its about us.. How corrupt are we?

Transparency International has not one regular corruption index, but three. There is a Corruption Perception Index, a Global Corruption Barometer and a Bribe Payer's Index. What has just been published and reported in the media is the 2005 version of the CPI.

As TI makes clear, this is perception about corruption, as opposed to actual instances of corruption, captured in the GCB. Moreover, unlike the GCB, the CPI is not a public opinion survey. Responses are restricted to business people and country analysts. It is constructed such that scores range between 0 (highly corrupt) and 10 (highly clean). India obtains a score of 2.9, compared to 2.8 in 2004.

Incredible! Corruption in India is down

This gives India a mid-point rank of 88 among 159 countries; other countries bracketed with India are Armenia, Benin, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gabon, Iran, Mali, Moldova, and Tanzania. Media reports have focused on the rank improvement from 90th in 2004 to 88th in 2005.

This must be seen in the context of only 146 countries being ranked in 2004. The other point to note is that TI has a threshold score of 3, and countries with scores lower than 3 (this includes India) are regarded as possessing serious corruption problems. About half the countries ranked have such problems.

Corruption has many angles. There is the big-ticket corruption associated with government procurement, including defence and elections. There is the smaller or petty variety of corruption associated with procedures and discretion at the petty functionary level.

The CPI's primary focus is the latter, particularly in the interface between enterprises and the government, with the interface between citizens and the government figuring more in the GCB. The positive correlation between corruption and economic development is obvious, although there may be debate about which is cause and which is effect.

In an earlier study on South Asia, TI estimated that if corruption levels in South Asia were to decline to the levels prevalent in the Nordic countries, the increment to GDP growth could be 1.5 percentage points. This may or may not be true, since many instances of corruption are transfer payments in national income accounting.

However, the fact that corruption imposes transaction costs and hurts the poor more, is obvious. A UN Convention against Corruption has been ratified and will enter into force in December 2005. This focuses more on cross-border issues.

Domestically, TI advocates public access to information about budgets, revenue and expenditure, increased resources for anti-corruption efforts, ratification of anti-corruption conventions, and civil society vigilance. These are desirable objectives, but implementation is fraught with problems.

Indeed, the UPA government's attempt to increase public expenditure, despite corruption and leakage, is defended by references to Right to Information Acts, decentralisation, and panchayat, as well as NGO involvement. True, there are some instances of success, including through e-governance.

But there is no obvious way to replicate and clone these throughout the country. And despite the UPA's talk of improved governance, little has materialised in terms of implementation.
The silver lining is the advent of information technology, which makes transparency, data analysis, and even plain access to documents and numbers much easier. In addition, IT has facilitated media attempts to capture corruption on film. The Indian score may well move to 3.0 in 2006.

Thanks to this article from Business Standard posted on rediff...
good one to read, i couldnt stop blogging it as i believe we the common people make the nation good or bad, so lets stop for a moment in our journey called life & think what we owe to the nation, if we want to make ourself proud for our nation, we need to take a step further & think about our contribution to it...

Reading Article: H1-B bashing

Title: H1 -B Bashing

I reached home this evening early than i expected, i opted to browse the net as a pass time, to start with eweek.com was a good option,
while eyeballing through links & few articles published on eweek.com, i saw this link H1-B Bashing

Title looked compelling & i couldnt help myself diving into it, content was focussed on the H1-B bashing which is the news recently & i guess still is making the headlines on and off, seemingly debatable & a regular masala mix kinda article thought of blogging it for my avid readers :)

Pardon me readers, i wish not to be a judge this evening essentially on a sensitive topic like these, but yes since i have raised this up
i wish to publish my comments also, assuring self that this wont flare up any issues tonite...

Augmenting to the much awaited comments, i would be echoing Sivakumar, that As every good thing has bad thing in it, i would say reverse is also true...
i liked these lines from Sivkumar, where he tried putting his point..

"Consider the benefits due to these foreigners who came to the United States, many of them on H1-B visas: Sameer Bhatia, who founded Hotmail; Sergey Brin, who co-founded Google; Alfred S. Chuang, who founded BEA Systems; Vinod Khosla, who co-founded Sun Microsystems; Vinod Dham, who designed the Pentium chip; Linus Torvalds, who invented Linux; Anders Hejlsberg, who architected the C# language; and James Gosling, who developed the Java language. Does Dobbs know the number of jobs that were created due to the efforts of these people?"

Moments that fade away..

I am thinking of the moment that passed by...
moments faded in silence...staying away..away from all..

Its amazing to remain absent amidst the blabbering crowds...
just listening to the rhythmic tunes..lovely compositions..

Amazing to see the sight of loneliness..
liking the moments for solitude
moments..i spend for myself...its just for me..

stay aloof..even when i see the escape frm the haunting silence,
a choice to find the joy of reaching out..
but why cant i involve myself..
isnt it insanity to rejoice my solitude..
& its allowing me play to the tunes of joy...
whats pushing me to solitude.. wht inspires me...to be alone

questioning why i choose this way to spend the moments...
wht is it haunting me..not nostalgia...
nothing i could think of anything for the moment
whts keeping me aloof ..keeping me occupied...to myself
whts this silence of the moment all about....
i have no answer ..let it remain unanswered for this very moment......!!

Fogged in the morning

It was 7.30 in the morning when i started from home, i take a 10 minute walk to the car parking, near to Path station.

100 metres and if you go further zero visiblity, fogged everywhere..
can see only headlights flashing in the fog, commute was difficult
could see a car bumped off to a police vehicle,it seemed as if people have come out to street to see the fog and somehow i managed to reach the parking,
We drove carefully to the office, we cud see vehicles crossing us &
over taking us fade away in 100 meters and up in skyway was a different view,
riding on the clouds...

Really was a great experience..fogged !!

Days of Innocence....

Today, we as usual were assembled at the lunch table, and as always tossing different topics, it was then somehow we got the topic of small childrens..
their habits, their likes, dislikes & also their unpredictable nature.

We had a lengthy narration of individual experiences with kids, it started with the senior guys adding their experiences & ambience was awesome, every body added their experiences, short tales & carved out tales..

Interesting topic and exciting tales - Hiding anything which comes handy in places not commonly used by others such as placing mobiles in VCRs, flushing all the changes in the toilet flush, throwing antiques from window, hiding in cupboard, playing with marbles, eating mud, archery used to be the favourite for all.
ofcouurse when caught cry out loudly...

Best of one heard was of a kid burning currency acquired from his/her parents wallet & so overjoyed to see the different coloured flames that it couldnt resist calling up parents to join the show...

Some common sights we see..
Trying to get into their parents shoes & walk around, fall and still carry on..
Tilting the toys upside down & banging it agaisnt the wall.. hey whose inside..
Staring at a new face, giving a smile at one moment, when stranger returns the smile..blushes & starts crying.. leaves the stranger fuming...what have i done..?
Hitting you on your cheek, playing with your nose, pulling your ears, scratching your hair - warning this all can happen if you lift a child.. even worse if not in a good mood, you will get a punch on your face...

Kids at different ages behave variantly, at age of 4-8 they are genious, they flood you with 60 question per minute and believe me you cant find an answer to a single of them.. they will choose everything available in a store, wisely wait for you to return with a change if thats the reason you choose to say..
Worst yet to come - they toss question at a public place, you need guts sometime to answer them, they build up your guts and so do they make you a public figure..:)

Those moments you spent with the little ones are priceless, they remind you of wht you were when you were at the same age, they bring happiness & joy to all, they cheer the crowd & thats why its truly said - LITTLE CHILDREN are WISER THAN MEN..

Transportation in London, NY& Paris

Lest talk of cities like New York, Paris & London.. lets make out the differences..
I would be biased if i propose London as the best bet for commute, to provide reason..I find London more comfortable to commute out of the two cities, reasons could be connectivity between different cities to & fro from London is awesom.. never had a ugly experience.. contigency was always well planned and executed..undoubtedly best service with regard to time & comfort.. I used to travel from London to Brighton daily.. door to door would be 2hrs atleast..but had a comfortable journey all the time..
Even we had the luxury of chosing differnt transport like public transport BUSES..
frequency and alternate arrangements were well informed in advance...Maps,tour guides..excellent, best part was the division of city segregated into zones..
and transportation was based on zone passes for day/week/monthly basis.. good concept i would say..tht eliminates the requirement of having separate bus passes as compulsion.. with a travel card, customer can avail bus and train (called as tube) services...hazzle free travel across zones.. with plenty of differnt services operating with joined hands..

Paris, on the other hand, did gave a similar feel except on late night services..
found difficult communicating... apart from tht it was excellent..

I was surprise to see New York only with transportation medium as Subways..
travelling to NY wasnt easy... to mention details.. i am staying in Journal square..
need to commute to Warren,NJ

left with no other option..i mean no better option than to have own a car/rent it/or car pool... other alternative is to catch a train (PATH-Rail service) to WTC and then catch company bus to Warren, sad part is company bus is available only once in a hour.. Within NewYork, commuters can choose to use SUBWAY..

After I studied New York History at SUBWAY , I learnt that the majority of the New York Subway system was completed between 1904 and 1918...awesom isnt it..

Travel from Thames to Hudson on a journey called life.

During my short visit to UK this time, i did went around thames in London,
i never miss a oppurtunity to wander around the Tower of London or LondonBridge..
Used to escort my friends to London Bridge, whoever visited London for the first time, i used to step in as a guide to the city tour and luxury tour circling around thames.. which is the life of london...

Hudson ..heart of New York i guess..wont be a exagerration at all..
Erection of Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge is on Hudson..
I am left with a desire to circle around Hudson.. i could see some tempting deals which allows visitors to have a bird view on Hudson from a chopper.
Will surely blog my visit in the coming week...as i have some plans..
Seems my lenses are getting impatient for the shots..an aerial view of Statue of Liberty.. more popularly known & comically coined terminology.. Mashaal wali bai..:)
Hey bloggy.. dont be impatient..am going to feed you with her snaps !!

Top ten attractions in New York

It may inspire many readers to make their own top 10 list about New York, or their own cities, i will pen down my top 10 attractions...

(1) Statue of Liberty – most touristy place for out-of-town tourists; a lot of New Yorkers have never visited.
(2) Time Square – crowded, not very far from the MS New York office; there is a place to buy half-priced ticket for Broadway shows for the same night.

(3) The Metropolitan Museum of Art – one of top art museums of the world; takes more than one day to finish; a stroll in the Central Park afterwards is highly recommended.

(4) Rockefeller Center – largest Christmas tree in the world (so claimed); NBC TV studio and store are there.

(5) Chinatown – very crowded, good Cantonese or Sichuan restaurants; next to Little Italy with good Italian food.

(6) The New York Stock Exchange – the center of Capitalism. Wall Street and Ground Zero are nearby too.

(7) The Empire State Building – tallest building after 9/11 with observation deck on top.

(8) Brooklyn Bridge – You can walk on the bridge and have a good view of the East River. The bridge was the tallest structure in the world when it was built late 19 century.

(9) Big Apple Bus Tour – a city-wide bus tour you can hop on and off at many points; good and quick way to see different parts of the city.

(10) Fifth Avenue – Christmas shopping (or just window shopping) for fashion; downtown West Broadway has more upscale fashion boutiques (places where you can shop for your wife but things can be a bit expensive that you will be secretly happy that she does not come along).

I think you should at least go to one good restaurant for Western cuisine and a French bakery for pastry. There are too many good choices to list.

My first US Trip

I was slated for US initially, but to my surprise i was deputed to UK,though the stint was for 4 weeks then i was asked to fly to US on a short notice.

I have flied in with lot many expectations, one of the most powerful nations in the world, having superlatives added to all the sections that we could possibly think or imagine.. first impression at the Immigration gave me a feel that Immigration is stringent & doesnt take anything for granted...Newark International Airport.. i collected my baggage & asked a cab to drive me to my destination... Jersey City.. first look out of the window made me feel that i was in india, i could see chimneys.. roads gave a dishevelled appearance... and i could streets untidy..
old high rise buildings with garbage lying on roads.. i was stunned...is it US..? suspense wasnt over yet... i reached 248, Academy street, knocked at the door.. reached upstairs... oh god... where am i.. it wasnt a flat.. it was as if i landed on a apartment which is under construction..:) fortunately the inmates were very considerate, caring & affable... in no time.. i received a warm welcome.. they were expecting me.. had prepared a excellent meal for me.. we had the welcome meal.. then called up india..
Second blow came in ... guess what.. yes commuting is a real pain if you are put up out of NY, as to my fortune - i was suppose to join Warren Office, which is located far off..not exagerrating but only 25-30 miles away from Jersey city.. luck enough to sneak into the list of Mahesh, he owns a car and since we all believe in car pooling, i was in it..:) Then came the difficult part...accomodation.. yes bcoz i was on temporary arrangement, i could say am lucky fact is being a early bird i could find an arrangement - PG Accomodation in High street, a gujju family - though crowded with 7 guys.. i had no other viable option.. i would be shelling out 625/- monthly... that takes care of my meals & accomodation as well.. good deal..:)

4 weeks in London...

This was not a planned trip to London.. its destiny i believe bcoz i think these 4 weeks will be remembered as one of the best times in my life.. a chapter in life..where i won some real good friends.....

I was awaiting for my US assignment..counting every minute in Powai, the feeling was awesome.. anxiety at its peak..and guess what..there came the news..of a new urgent requirement where my profile was claimed to be suited.. place - London.. for a moment..i was upset that i had lost the oppurtunity to visit US.. then i made up my mind..that am going back to my friends in UK.. ofcourse..it will be a enriching experience too since i will paid in pounds.. that was good enough to cheer me up.

Since this was not my first visit to London, i knew accomodation was not an issue.. had called up my friends to reserve my room, i did so & took a weeks vacation to my hometown.. finished off all the official procedures in time, Unfortunately didnt get much time with the family, had to fly to UK within 2 days.. everyone at home were upset as couldnt spent much time with them as desired.. lucky enough to have a good gathering at home.. you know guys.. the difficult moments are those in life.. when you part from your dear ones.. you turn your back on them & walk away & when the distance between you and the dear ones become broader ...it turns real ugly.. especially when ur not sure when you are going to meet them again.... i knw i am feeling nostalgic..but cant help it.. i did experience that moment..when my family stood at the door step..to bid farewell to me.. i felt ugly of losing their presence for the moment..it was terrible..
I took the jet to Mumbai..reached there by a hours delay.. Subu was there waiting to pick me up.. i was glad to see Sirish, who came in to see me off.. i had a flight to catch at midnight.. was moved to see these guys at airport cheering me for my flight..we had dinner together.. did spent time fooling around.. then it was time to check in my baggages & say bye to my roomies & to Mumbai.. i took BA to London, reached Heathrow thursday, 7th July, though it was a exhaustive flight i was keen to visit my old roomies.. i took a cab to Lewisham, which costs me 85 pounds.. costly enough that i never took my eyes off the meter..:)
Hemant was at home waiting for me... i could see some new faces.. was introduced to them- Sandeep & Jigna.
Soon i learnt that London had a traumatic experience the very same morning, yes - it was 7th July, the day when london witnessed series of blast in central london..
i called up my boss to intimate him abt my arrival.. i did so & was advised not to move out as it wasnt safe & had not to join office on the same day.. it was day off..
and believe me i never ever joined office.. thanks to the client who had made up his mind.. i would say.. he had a second thought may be.. so i used to remain in all day..
we were 7 people in a flat... my room was the same old one except new roomies..
room was furnished.. i found my roomies very resourceful & cooperative..
Good thing was i didnt have to worry abt cooking as the couple have taken care of that.. we were served with the delicious gujju cuisine..we all had an excellent time together..i would admit.. i never felt alone.. as always my roomies & my friends gave me company.. we used to wander around lewisham shopping..and the streets.. our pass time was watching movies.. and also eating delicous dishes..
And in the evening.. i had a luxury of calling up my friends..who were in london.. we work for the same firm... weekends were especially great..

My vacation was abruptly finished off by a call.. i had to fly to US for the assignment which i was waiting for when i was in mumbai.. but this time believe i had a different feeling that i was doing good in london.. may be that i had won good friends.. that could be the reason.. i was bit hesitant.. i could never imagine..
i could get such a warm farewell from those new friends..whom i met just couple of weeks ago.. one of the lovely breed of people i ever meet..

Last day .. i was flooded with calls from my friends.. cheering me up.. and wishing me luck for the flight.. till the last moment i was onboard Virgin Atlantic to US...am really fortunate i think to find good people around.. 4 weeks.. is definitely a short period.. but i have gathered moments to cherish.....

Living Life

A group of working adults got together to visit their University lecturer.
The lecturer was happy to see them. Conversation soon turned
into complaints about stress in work and life.

The Lecturer just smiled and went to the kitchen to get an assortment of
cups - some porcelain, some in plastic, some in glass, some plain
looking and some looked rather expensive and exquisite.
The Lecturer offered his former students the cups to get drinks for themselves.
When all the students had a cup in hand with water, the Lecturer spoke:
"If you noticed, all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken up,
leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal that you only
want the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and
stress. What all you wanted was water, not the cup, but we
unconsciously went for the better cups."
"Just like in life, if Life is Water, then the jobs, money and position in
society are the cups. They are just tools to hold/maintain Life, but the quality of Life doesn't change."
"If we only concentrate on the cup, we won't have time to enjoy/taste the water in it."

Manhattan Daily

I rise at 6 in the morning occassionally..its 7am daily.., on some special occassion, when its 6am, I would call my roomie– subodh to accompany me, he also fond of taking the morning walk- he believes in the saying “BADE aur kamyab log aksar subah uttha karte hai..AUR samajdhar log subah kum uththe hai..” ,we walk around the galleys/muhallahs in Bangurnagar, rightly said..2 is a company..we have lot of topics to chat which hardly holds for 20 mins…then it’s back to pavilion..
M-8/1 is a luxurious 2 BHK flat.. in Manhattan..(Goregoan- WEST) rented by 3 angels ANGELS.?? Questions …?? Yes angels in Manhattan…? OR put it in other terms only rented to ANGELS..yes..very true…bcoz..angels cannot be billed.. they don’t work hard to keep their room clean & tidy…. simple..we are the most liked ppl in our locality…ppl who like us the most & miss us a lot us are… TV wala sardar (TV rented..), paper wala, dabbawala, cablewala, electricity wala exceptional– he will come for sure..d-day cant imagine the outcome ..neighbours we use them for housing our colddrinks.. call it ppl management….Who is the OWNER….? GOD ofcourse..What happened to him then – Mr. Joseph… He comes in during occasions.. festivals.. he believes rent should be paid only to remind him that the flat is owned by him and not by the angels. Nice man – no one ever saw him…but rent handsomely paid by angels……!!!

That’s how my day begins, at sharp 7.20am we get our news papers.. read it till i realize.. am getting late..for 7:45am bus, get ready in next 10-15 mins..rush out of Bhanumati society, catch a rick – tht too with a specific configuration – New Auto – with FM, commonly used lines by the localites are - Aiyye Autowale.. Station..& M-8’s say it loud..with a difference..Aiyee Auto wale..FM hai kya..?? thik hai..station…then ride to the station – goregoan, for me I practice wht I preach - take the road less chosen by – means even if you don’t have a ticket..which is required..take railway bridge..and not the fly over built next to the station.. I take the railway bridge – here I save time & I can have a birds eye on the bus.. this is really challenging.. really.. imagine.. you have 5 mins to cross over amidst commuters who get down from the 7:45am local – you need to fight your way out & make it to the other end of the station..thats your finishing line – yes and be aware you need to move out safely, without being caught by Railway authorities …with daily commuters blocking the way – slowing you down, with only hope to catch my the last bus which departs at 7.50am, Its test that I face each day..in the morning..i rises my spirits..finishing line is to somehow to get into the main road, yes – get into the sight of our driver…I know he is used to the daily last minute catch.. he drives through the busy lane – with a full packed bus with ease.. I think he feels proud when holds the steering in his hand, no one can do it as quick as he can wheel out the huge bus out of narrow busy lane into the RA colony, then comes the music.. chosen few songs.. ugliest thing to happen for the day, its 8.15am – the bus halts & then the routine starts…

----INTERMISSION------------------

Swipe your cards & log your attendance… back to the same seat..same colleagues…
Few new faces…cud be the old birds came in lately…or the new ones looking for shelter.. a quick eye ball through the mail box.. good attachments downloaded without wasting time.. give a shell to all our pals.. is the rule you cannot miss… reply to imp. Mails.. not official ofcourse.. plan the day… brk for a T at quarter to 9. and then with colleagues.. share some light moments.. and then at 9.15am back to seat..start your routine.. look busy ..is extremely imp.. else they will come and grab you…wait for 11am… why..its T-Break again.. then show your pace.. shoot some mails here and there… and then at 12..your pals wont allow you to be on ur seat. Lunch time buddy..
Come back not before 1p.. wait for break at 3p.. then go slow till 4.30p… then speed up a little as you need to wind up by 6p… its 5.45p and you got the work – reason you looked relaxed…they had every reason to grab you.. now its 7.30p and still on… 8.30p..want to leave.. still on..finally..Roomies call …they are waiting for the dinner.. that’s the best thing of the day..come wht may we wait for all – and take the dinner together… and then go for a walk.. have desserts.. that too from a chosen store… we have an Uncle, we ensure he digs deep into his refrigerator for our fav. Desserts, he gets irritated.. another account in our books who gets irritated..but cant help..as we bring good business to him..
We wish him good night & we part to meet him again the next day….we three of us (Shirish, me & subodh) That’s how we conclude our day & return to our den…!!

Be honest to yourself........

Have you ever experienced a moment in your life when you just ran outof words and you go...
...s i l e n t ....Let me help you in recalling...........
Try to remember.....
....the moment when you left your home for the first time and you lookback at your parents who are worried that their son/daughter areleaving them yet happy that their child took the firststep towards independence.
... the moment when the girl/boy you like most..smiled back at you!You dont say anything.. you just smile back..
... the moment when you get better marks than youexpected... those"numb" moments of ecstacy n surprise "is that true?"...
... the moment when you are parting with your oldfriend(s) and thetrain has just started... and you are standing on thedoor of the wagon.. waving "bye-bye" with your heart beatingfast...
... the moment after the HR manager has just calledyou and told you,"You are through! Congrats!"
... the moment when you sit alone in your room afterhaving told everyone that you cleared that exam you prepared for 6 months!!

You can go on remembering your "special" moments!

I had always wondered why I never said anything tomyself at those moments.. as if it was "understood"... happiness, joy, pain

.. all feelings just flowed ceaselessly in the 'years' thatpassed in those flash moments!
They say.. the best way to communicate is through "silence"......

Love. Joy. Grief. Surprise. Anger. Hope. Expectations.Support.
Non-cooperation...

Can you imagine the importance of a silent moment in asong??

When Bryan Adams stops for a while along with music, before he goeson in his husky voice...
... Please forgive me. I cant stop loving you!
Ever had those moments when you thought you were tired enough that you reach for your bed after dinner.. but findyourself wide awake looking at the roof of your room silently...
But you sure are 'thinking'... those moments of self-talk are the most important in our lives. Those moments when we
listen to our own hearts! Those promises... those decisions... those are the moments
when we make our destinies!
dear...Next time you go silent... listen carefully to what your heart is saying.. listen to its joy...listen to its pain..listen to its fears.. listen to its desires..
Dont just go off to sleep... LISTEN TO THAT VOICE ..its talking to you..
May be its the happiness that awaits you....!

But its just someone...

Some people come into your life and quickly go..
some stay in for a while and leave a foot print on our hearts
But we are never, ever the same....

One short funny story...

Once upon a time, there was a software engineer who used to develop programs on his Pentium machine, sitting under a tree on the banks of a river. He used to earn his bread by selling those programs in the Sunday market. One day, while he was working, his machine tumbled off the table and fell in the river. Encouraged by the Panchatantra story of his childhood (the woodcutter and the axe), he started praying to the River Goddess.
The River Goddess wanted to test him and so appeared only after one month of rigorous prayers. The engineer told her that he had lost his computer in the river. As usual, the Goddess wanted to test his honesty. She showed him a 'match box' and asked, "Is this your computer ? "Disappointed by the Goddess' lack of computer awareness, the engineer replied, "No." She next showed him a pocket-sized 'calculator' and asked if that was his. Annoyed, the engineer said "No, not at all!!" Finally, she came up with his own Pentium machine and asked if it was his. The engineer, left with no option, sighed and said "Yes."
The River Goddess was happy with his honesty. She was about to give him all three items, but before she could make the offer, the engineer asked her, "Don't you know that you're supposed to show me some better computers before bringing up my own ?
The River Goddess, angered at this, replied, "I know that, you stupid donkey! The first two things I showed you were the Trillennium and the Billennium, the latest computers from IBM!". So saying, she disappeared with the Pentium!!

Moral: If you're not up-to-date with technology trends, it's better keep your mouth shut...:)
